Shows isohyet lines with rainfall amounts, daily and automatic rain gauges, drainage divides around Dannevirke, Palmerston North, Hastings, Napier and the Ruahine Range.
The isohyet lines note that annual rainfall at Haumoana was 800mm, Pourere - 1,400mm, Ruahine Ranges - 1,200 to 2,800mm and 2,800mm around the Whakarara Range.
Titled at lower right hand of map:
Provisional normal annual isohyets (1941 - 1970), published for the National Water and Soil Conservation Authority, by the Water and Soil Directorate - Ministry of Works and Development, Napier November 1982.
