Brief Description
Book by Augustus Hamilton entitled: Māori Art, Part 2 - The Art Workmanship of the Māori Race in New Zealand. Published by the New Zealand Institute in 1897.

The contents include the habitations of Māori, a list of words relating to houses and pās, Māori rafter patterns with descriptive notes, diagrams of the construction of a Māori house, as well as plans and sections of fortified pās with a description of the diagrams. Interspersed throughout the book are plates or photographs alongside which are descriptions.
