1. Notes written by F W Williams. Typed on paper. Note attached - Possibly written by a person other than F W Williams (second person used sometimes). The notes discuss his personal work experience and the development of the business of Williams and Kettle Limited. Also a handwritten copy of the above.

2. Typed extract from Historic Poverty Bay by J A Mackay. Information on Nelson Brothers Limited, Gisborne, and Taraheru Freezing Works.

3. Old Waikari by Willina MacKenzie of the Putorino Women's Institute, Hawke's Bay Historical Society, Hastings Branch. Notes on the history of the area and Waikari Station; the Wilkie Family; sheep varieties; James Tait; Notes on the Pai Mārire; History of Putorino Station; Shearing in Mohaka; Lavan couple and children, death in Mohaka massacre; Coach service between Napier and Wairoa; Glenbrook Station; Soldier settlers; 1931 Earthquake's affect on the region and topography.

4. Bank remarks concerning Williams and Kettle Limited and F W Williams transcribed from the Union Bank of Australia Manager's Diaries. Attached memo from B Harman reads: These are researchers notes taken from Union Bank (ANZ) files - Manager's Diaries. Given to me in the 80s in response to allowing access to our old papers, dated 21 December 1988. Information concerning lending, details of shipping and production, security, banking with other banks at other branches, letter from Resident Inspector of New Zealand.

5. Letter from F W Williams and Kettle to unknown, 12 February 1891. Possibly a standard letter to businesses from the new branch in Gisborne concerning their opening.

6. Memorandum of Agreement, 28 July 1891, between David Glendinning and John Griffin of Napier (contractors) and Messrs Williams and Kettle Limited of Napier. Agreement for building of offices in Browning Street. Signed by contractors and witnessed by Robert Lamb, with seal of Williams and Kettle Limited. 2 pages.

7. Letter from J A Stanley, Dunedin, to Mr Kettle, Napier, concerning A S Chipman who was coming to Napier and looking to lease land.

8. Memorandum of Charter Party Agreement, Balcarres Brook Steamship. On very light paper, like tissue paper. Addressed and dated London, 3 August, 1887.

9. Charter Party Agreement between Messrs A M Hornan and Company, who are the owners of the vessel Herschel, and the Colonial Union Company Limited. Addressed and dated London, 28 June 1887.

10. A document written by an unknown author typed on paper. A history of the development of Williams and Kettle Limited, prices, progress through the great depression etcetera. Attached note: Mr Giblin brought this in - he thought it may be of some historical interest. J.
