Brief Description
A memorandum of lease between Edward Murphy of Te Arai in the County of Cook, sheepfarmer (lessor) and Frederic Wanklyn Williams and Nathaniel Kettle both of Napier, Merchants (lessees), dated 28 September 1891. The memorandum of lease concerns town allotment number 28 of Gisborne. There is a drawing on front page showing Custom House Street and Gladstone Road. It shows a wool shed, Dunlop and Bourke, auction room, drapery store, and packing room. This lease was then transferred from Frederic Wanklyn Williams and Nathaniel Kettle to Williams and Kettle Limited.
