Brief Description
Minute book and manuscripts attributed to St Peter's Presbyterian Church.
a) Minute book recording meetings held by St Peter's Session from 19 August 1963 to 13 June 1973. It also includes the minutes of the inaugural Congregational Meetings held on 7 July 1963 and 3 August 1963 and the last Annual General Meeting held on 16 September 1973. St Peter's Session joined with St David's Session to form Napier West Session, 1 July 1973.
The front section of the book has an index with alphabetised tabs. The index contains only a few entries referring to headings found in the minutes of the first 15 pages of the book.
At the back of the book are historical notes on St Peter's Church including information on the first minister to be inducted, the first baptism, wedding and funeral, the first session, the induction of elders and the amalgamation of St Peter's and St David's. The Formula is also handwritten at the top of a page below which are the dates and signatures of those who pronounced it.
b) A typed version of the Formula. At the top of the document it reads: To be read by the Session Clerk.
c) A plan of St Peter's Presbyterian Church showing the existing church and planned Youth Centre and temporary class rooms.

a) A red, textured, hardcover exercise book with yellow linen spine and hand written paper label. Marbled paper covers the inside of the front and back covers. The entries are hand written in blue, black and coloured ink or printed in black ink on paper then glued to the pages of the book.
