Brief Description
Minute book of St Paul's Onekawa Church Committee dated 2 May 1961 to 2 October 1962.

This minute book opens with a statement from the Convenor, D U White, addressing the present position of the new church and the objective of fully establishing St Paul's Onekawa as part of the parent church. The Convenor suggests the appointment of sub-committees to consider and report on various aspects of the church development.

The minute entries that follow address matters such as donations and fundraising efforts towards the completion of the church, solutions for heating and seating within the church, gardening and setting out of the grounds, reports from the women's club and other general business.

The final entry in the book is a letter to parishioners dated May 1963. This letter reports on the need to open a new parish to cater for the growing suburbs of Onekawa, Maraenui and Pirimai. It states the boundaries of the new church and announces that it was to be formally constituted on 1 July 1963.
