Basil Morris Arthur Johnson trained at Canterbury College (now University). Mr Powell and Chris Fenwick were located in Christchurch where as Basil Johnson lived in Napier.
Contents include: a locality plan; layout plan; elevations and sections. Ten large photographs and six loose photographs: main entrance - 'an imposing entrance used on the theory that a person who feels he is dominated by his surroundings will respect them - Odo Strewe'; main entrance showing separation of pedestrian and vehicular traffic; exterior view showing gardens, filters, indoor heated coaching pool, sheltered sunbathing, changing rooms, main entrance, administration and cafeteria; entrance foyer; women's change room; indoor heated coaching pool; main pool - looking from 5 metre platform over diving pool towards main pool and stand, learner's area on left, beach on right, landscaped surrounds to trees in background; filter house; general view showing cafeteria, administration area and low level supervision, change rooms and toilets, sheltered area, indoor heated pool, filter house, diving towers and pool; Winter dormancy; three publicity postcards; lessons for all - overnight repairs, pool floor, frost heave (four small photographs).
