Fresh from victory in the senior ladies figures event in the eastern central region skating championships on Saturday, Imelda Hailes lost no time in turning her attention to one of her protégés, Amanda Hunt aged 8. Hailes gave Amanda some last minute tuition during the championships in Napier’s Centennial Hall – she has been coaching Amanda for about two years.
