About this object
Timber Salvage. A team of workmen salvage old native timber from the site of the Pacific Hotel in Hastings.
The hotel is being demolished to make way for a $2 million shopping complex. The major part of the demolition work will be carried out at the weekends when the area is not so busy. The old timber being recovered from the building will be used by furniture makers.
