The property of Messrs. M C and J J Connor to be sold by public auction at the H.B. Farmers' Co-op Assn.'s Rooms, Hastings on Friday 20th December 1940 at 2 pm. Auctioneers Murray Roberts & Co. Ltd in conjunction with H.B. Farmers' Co-op Assn. Ltd.
This attractive property was taken up by the late J J Connor in 1909, and has been successfully farmed by his Trustees from 1910 to 1930 and during the past 10 years by the present Vendors. The sale is being held for the purpose of winding up the Estate.
Omapere is situated approximately 15 miles from Hastings by good road in westerly direction and consists of some 700 to 800 acres of flats, the balance being easy low limestone hill country.The property is bounded by land owned by estate of W Shrimpton (Matapiro Station); J J Connor and Ohiti Station.
The Kikowhero Stream runs through the property. The Ngaruroro acts as a boundary. The Ohiti and Whana Whana Roads are close by. There are two photographs - one of the homestead and one of the property. .
