About this object
Unwanted Drugs Pile Up. Thousands of unwanted medicines have been stockpiled at the Napier Hospital pharmacy in preparation for them being dumped or sent to Third World countries for use. Hospital pharmacy manager Anne Hayes said the medicines had been collected as the result of a combined doctors, pharmacists and Rotary Club campaign aimed at ridding the community of unwanted medicines, many of which had lain in cupboards for years and posed a danger to children.
