About this object
Tall Order. Demolition foreman Graham Hill, watched by an audience of Telecom workers in the adjoining building, trips the light fantastic as he secures chains to arched roof supports at the old New Zealand Post premises in Dalton Street yesterday. The building formerly the headquarters of Townshend Motors, is being demolished to make way way for an inner-city carpark , to be completed in time for the Christmas shopping rush.
