About this object
Back to Nature. From November 9 Napier's Stairways Gallery is featuring Bay View artist Judy Evans who has been painting all her life but now, in her retirement, paints to sell. Evans worked as a display artist in Wellington and also painted theatre scenery and backdrops. During the war years my paintings carried a political and patriotic message, she says. Now I've reverted to nature.

Photograph originally taken in colour, published in black and white.
