Brief Description
The bookplate was designed and produced by Hilda Wiseman for Russell Duncan in 1936. It was produced in the coloured linocut method. The translation of Ko Te Matauranga Te Kaha is, Knowledge is Strength. The figure in the plate is a representation of a drawing of a warrior by Horatio Robley. There are sixteen loose bookplates.
