The ballot will be held at the Courthouse, Napier. Applications may be made at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier. The Awamate Settlement was formerly the property of J S Jessep. It is 6 miles from Wairoa and 2 and a half miles from Turiroa Post Office and School. Access is by formed metalled road to the settlement boundary and then by unmetalled road.
Property is bounded by the Wairoa River, Makakahi Stream and the Awamate Road.
