About this object
Wiping Weeds. Grant Morton puts the finishing touches to a spray programme to clean up Napier's inner-city rail yards. The Napier City Council and the Chamber of Commerce last month complained to Railway's Property office about the overgrown state of the 3.5 hectare block fronting Munroe Street. Mr Morton, managing director of Bayspray Ltd, said it had taken four days to spray the area with weed poison and it could take up to a month for weeds to die.
