About this object
Plaque for Vessel. A small ceremony was held at the Port of Napier this morning to mark the maiden voyage of apple ship Cape Blossom, which berthed on Monday. The captain, Pablo Puaya was presented with a plaque from the port company. The 6082-tonne 126-metre reefer ship, had sailed from Japan. The loading of 170,000 cartons of apples for Europe was scheduled to finish tonight, and the ship was expected to sail soon after.
