Sunny Bonus. Though the warm weather over the last few days is too late to make any difference to the crop size it has been a bonus for Hawke's Bay contract tomato growers. The tomato yields are more than 25 per cent below targets but the fine warm weather has helped ripen the crop. Grower Food field officer Hamish Melville on the right and harvesting contractor Eddie Volman check the quality of the fruit being taken from Norman Speers' Te Aute Road property yesterday.
