Brief Description
Plan of Gisborne Land District number 12 - Te Wera Settlement. Lands for Selection on Renewable lease - 9,285 acres. Locality plan. This map was printed in association with applications received at the Department of Lands and Survey Office, Gisborne, Monday 7 March 1929. The Te Wera Settlement was formerly the property of Messrs Field and Chapple and is situated about 12 miles from Matawai, which is forty-four miles from Gisborne. The land is bounded by Crown land; the Koranga River; Moanui Survey District; Ngatapa Survey District; and land owned by A and E M Hutchinson.
