Chaos as Deluge Hits City. Greenmeadows garage manager Dion Lynch, outside his Gloucester Street, Taradale, premises helped police cordon off the flooded roadworks. Council Works manager Clive Squire said the downpour left stormwater pump stations clogged by weeds which had to be cleared. Napier City Council mobilised workers to clear surface folding in more than 20 Pirimai and Tamatea Streets.
