Mr L R Lewis, a former senior inspector of schools in Hawke's Bay, congratulates Constance Chin of Colenso High School after presenting her with a rosebowl and book token in Napier last night. Constance earned the distinction of Regional Scholar in Arithmetic in the recent Chamber of Commerce examinations. At right is Mary Papunui, of St. Joseph's College, Greenmeadows, who gained second highest marks in New Zealand for handwriting.
