Brief Description
Postcard and envelope from Percy Manson.

a) Postcard from Percy Manson to his mother. Written while Manson was on active service in Palestine and dated 9 November (no year but Manson was there between 1916 and 1917). Postcard shows a colour landscape of buildings and river in Cairo on the front. The letter reads:
Dear Mother,
Just a line in haste to let you know I am alive & keeping in the best of heath, hope you are keeping the same. We have not been able to write for this last fortnight so I don’t know whether this will get away or not.
From your loving son Percy Manson.

b) White military issue envelope with green stripes for use on active service. Addressed to Mrs S Manson, which has been crossed out and re-addressed to Mr A Manson.
