About this object
Completing the picture – Napier Taskforce Green worker Brent Pearce prepares one of several new Norfolk pines for planting along the beach domain just north of Awatoto. Accidents and attrition had led to gaps in the picturesque rows of pines along State Highway 2. The planting is part of the ongoing beautification of the beachfront.

Image of man standing next to utility vehicle on beachfront holding a sapling pine tree. Fully grown pines in the background.
