Special Visitor - Kaumatua to the Hawke's Bay Cultural Trust and trust board member Heitia Hiha explains the significance of meeting house carvings in the Hawke's Bay Museum to visiting Japanese museum director Tokio Hasegawa. Mr Hasegawa's interest in the museum was sparked by the Hawke's Bay Cultural Trust exhibition Nga Tukemata O Aotearoa which has just finished displaying in Napier's sister city of Tomakomai in Japan. Proposal to organise a mini Te Māori exhibition in Japan.
