Brief Description
Plan of Napier and Greenmeadows Properties in Tuke's Estate. Prepared in association with an auction held by auctioneers Hoadley, Son and Stewart Limited in conjunction with W J Tabuteau at the Browning Street Sale Rooms, Napier, Wednesday 14 February 1917 at 2.30 pm. The first site is located on the corner of Emerson Street and Clive Square. The map shows the following businesses: fruiterer, Stewarts' Stables, Low Yat Hung, Chinese laundry, and R Limbrick and Company. The Trinity Methodist Church is on the other side.
The other property is located in Greenmeadows and consists of rich land, subdivided into five paddocks with dwelling, outbuildings and artesian well. The map shows where the Technical College stood, as well as the Roman Catholic Cathedral and Munroe House. It also shows the position of Goddard's Store, Greenmeadows Post Office, Meanee Mission, and Miss Tuke's property.
