Dear Mum,
Just a line to you to let you know I am still alive & keeping in the best of health and hope you are keeping the same. I have not had any thing wrong with me so far but a lot of men are getting ill every day. I think it is the climate as it was 110 degrees in the shade the other day. How is that rheumatic cure of yours doing you, I suppose and hope you will be able to runaround like a young girl when I return to N.Z. How is Papa keeping I expect he still goes up the Main Trunk Line. Bert Houghton is about fifty miles from here. Tell Walter G. Elison here we generally go out for a walk every evening together. Well I will close this as news is scarce. Hoping this will find you in in the best of health as it leaves me. I am
Your loving son,
Percy R Manson.
