(a) Letter dated 21 February 1869. Theodore Minet Haultain writes of McLean sending reinforcements to the Taranaki region and his pursuit of Titokowaru. Also mentions various actions throughout the North Island and the transfer of men around the country.

(b) Letter dated 23 February 1869. Theodore Minet Haultain writes of the Taranaki region and the reinforcement of men.

(c) Letter dated 24 February 1869. Theodore Minet Haultain writes of negotiations with local iwi on pay rates for soldiers and the use of their leaders to boost morale amongst the troops.
