About this object
Pride and Joy - Early Holden cars went on show in Napier at the weekend, from 1950 models to those of the 1990s. Pictured with one of the rarest Holdens in New Zealand is Early Holden Club Hawke's Bay secretary, Ron Williams, of Hastings. The FX model is believed to be one of only seven in the country and is Mr Williams' pride and joy. It was on show with 20 other Holdens in the carpark next to Marineland on the Marine Parade on Saturday. The FX Holden was not commercially available in New Zealand, so all models in the country have been privately imported.

Photograph taken 1 February 1993 and published in the newspaper on that date.
