Wooden runner triumphs - Three out-of-town competitors in today's Hastings marathon set off on the 42 kilometre slog. At the drizzle-soaked start in Havelock North are, from left, Bruce Wilson and Kevin Campbell of Palmerston North and Nicholas Booth from Auckland. Campbell finished second in 2 hours 42 minutes.
