About this object
Tradition makes way for the new - Kay Knowles (left) and Juliet Simmons harvest part of Flowerland's 500,000 carnation crop. The production of carnations is down this year because the New Zealand domestic market is soft, but they are still the company's largest single crop and are grown year round.
