Copy of Transcript, Correspondence, Sum Set Solution:
a) Copy of a typed transcript of a recording made by James Bibby from Waipawa to a group of school children. Introduction made by A S Bibby, July 1952. James discusses such topics as the school; the bush; the Waipawa River; transport; Māori; clothing; wages and work; floods; motor cars; the first house built; first store built; William Colenso - James won a prize by getting the answer correct to a sum set problem written by Colenso. The book prize won by James as well as the question and answer are elsewhere in the archive collection.
b) Copy of email from Claire Bibby to Gail Pope dated 8 February 2009, regarding 1966 newspaper clipping, Mrs Mary Ann Bibby and genealogy, workings of Colenso sum.
c) letter from Claire Bibby to Gail Pope, addressed and dated 1 Westchester Drive East, Glenside, 23 March 2009, regarding Colenso Sum, prize book, photograph and article.
d) The workings and solution written by Mr Graham Brady to the sum set problem written by William Colenso.
e) Copy of a 1966 newspaper clipping with a photograph of J M Reidy, headmaster of Colenso High School holding the sum set and prize book. (The prize book was awarded to Mr J W Bibby a student at Colenso High School, who was the first pupil to solve the sum set problem.)
