About this object
Crest Unveiled. A coat of arms bringing together the features of the three councils which amalgamated to form the Hastings District Council was unveiled at a special ceremony on Thursday. The design, created by Hastings sculptors Andrew Elkink, pictured at left, and David Kemp, features a sunburst, ram and a bull, representing the fertility of the region and the animals on which its prosperity is based.
