Booklet entitled: Father Neptune's Day from World War I.

Booklet regarding the Father Neptune ceremony on New Zealand Transport 75, SS Waitemata. Booklet relates the equatorial crossing celebration of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force 21 Reinforcements and 13th Māori Reinforcements.

It includes a description of the events, the various parts taken by people in the course of the celebration, the mock crimes put forth to those to be punished. It records the actions and reactions of the punishers and punished. It also transcribes the proclamation and the days menu. Related celebrations are included, such as the Haka performance by the 13th Māori Reinforcements. There are some photographs and many soldiers are named in relation to this event.

Booklet also addresses other ship-board business, such as the journal the Waitemata Wobbler, donations to the wounded soldiers fund, art shows and leave activities.

This booklet is undated, but an associated certificate of the same event is dated March 1917.
