Switch pays off. Havelock North man Hamish Armstrong headed to Otago University in 1989 to study medicine, and emerged at the end of last year as a lawyer. Pictured with Hamish after being admitted to the bar by Mr Justice Heron in the High Court in Napier yesterday, are members of his family, including his father Graham, a company assistant manager and his mother Margaret, an occupational health nurse, pictured third from left.
