Brief Description
Programme for the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club for the Metropolitan Spring Meeting held on Tuesday 1 October 1889.
On the front is printed the names of the President, Treasurer, stewards, Handicapper, Clerk of the Course, Clerk of the Totalisators, Timekeeper and Secretary. On the back of the front cover is the pedigrees of horses engaged at the meeting, the title of each race with the names of the owners and the horses who are to compete. In the back is a programme of music to be performed at the meeting by the Garrison Band, Bandmaster Fred Tankard. On the back cover is a train timetable.
