Brief Description
Official programme for the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club for the Metropolitan Autumn meeting held on Tuesday 19 March 1889.
On the front is printed the names of the President, Treasurer, stewards, Handicapper, Clerk of the Course, Clerk of the Totalisator, Timekeeper and Secretary. On the back of the front cover is a train timetable. The contents include the pedigrees of the horses engaged at the meeting, the title of each race with the names of the owners and the horses who are to compete. On the back cover is a programme of music to be performed at the meeting by the Garrison Band, Bandmaster Fred Tankard.
