Brief Description
A biographical book written by Anna Cullingford entitled: A Profile of Harry Charles Harboard, Royal Navy. Biography goes through the life of Harry Charles from 7 September 1891 to 15 July 1970.

Harry Charles Harboard was the Stoker Petty Officer on the HMS Veronica when it was berthed at Napier 3 February 1931. The Veronica had docked in Port Ahuriri three hours before the Earthquake struck and was temporarily stranded itself by the upheaval of the sea bed but was able to maintain communication with the outside world which brought about fast first responses to the city. In addition the Veronica's Commander Captain Morgan put his crew to work helping with the rescue preventing panic amongst the local population.

The Veronica was attached to the New Zealand Division, under Royal Naval control, and took part in ceremonial occasions, exercising with the Royal Navy New Zealand cruisers. She toured New Zealand Ports and went on annual Pacific Island Cruises.

Harry Harboard was described as: 5 feet 6 inches tall; dark brown hair; brown eyes and a ruddy complexion.
