The photograph album of the Meeanee Observatory, Napier depicting astronomical photographs.
On the front cover is an interior shot of the observatory. The observatory was opened in July 1907. Charles M Hector is stamped on the back of the front cover and under it is typed: The photographs of the sun and the moon were taken with a Cook 9 inch photo-visual objective and a Watson enlarging lens. Those of the stars and comet were taken with a 3 and a half inch Dallmeyer portrait lens.
