1:2,500,000. Forty miles to the inch.

Shows British South Africa from Port Nolloth on the West side, Johannesburg, the De Kaap gold fields, Zout Pansberg and Durban on the East coast. Also shows Portuguese territory and East Africa on the East coast, railway lines and steam ship routes, the German Territory and proclaimed gold fields - Nkandhla, Fort Victoria and Klerksdorp. Inset maps are shown of Sudan, Durban, Kimberley, Port Elizabeth and Rhodesia. Steamship distances notes that Cape Town to London is 6,181 miles.
