Brief Description
Book by Samuel McDonald Martin entitled: New Zealand in a Series of Letters Containing an Account of the Country, Both Before and Since its Occupation by the British Government. Dated 1845.

Book includes historical remarks of the conduct of the Government and the New Zealand and the Manakau Companies. Also contains a description of the various settlements, the character of Māori and the natural productions of the country. There are sixteen letters in total and they cover the period 1839 to 1844.
