The Studio Year Book of Decorative Art, 1916 and dustcover

a) The Studio Year Book of Decorative Art, 1916. This publication looks at the development of architecture and decoration in the British Empire and the United States. The Editor's Prefatory Note states that this is the first issue of The Studio Year Book to feature the Domestic Architecture of the British Colonies, however, due to unforeseen circumstances, this issue does not include a section on Australian Domestic Architecture. Listed in the contents is an alphabetised lists of the featured designers and architects under each section heading.

The British Empire section includes the following articles:
Cottage Interiors and Decoration written and illustrated by Sydney R Jones. British Domestic Architecture. Notes on the Illustrations; British Decoration. Notes on the Illustrations; Domestic Architecture in Canada by F S Baker; Domestic Architecture in South Africa by Arthur H Reid; Domestic Architecture in New Zealand by F de J Clere. Each of these articles are followed by illustrations.

The following architects are featured in the New Zealand section: Atkins and Bacon; Beere and Greenish; J A Burnside; F de J Clere; W Houlker; Chilwell and Trevithick; Edmund R Wilson; Clarkson and Ballantyne; Hurst Seager and Macleod; Gerald E Jones.

The United States includes an article by Alfred Yockney: Architecture and Decoration in the United States. This is followed by illustrations organised into the following groupings: Domestic Architecture; Mural Decoration and Stained Glass; Metalwork and Pottery.
