Brief Description
Three leases by Māori alienating their land known as the Kuhawaea land block to Hutton Troutbeck, a sheepfarmer of Petane.

(a) The first lease is between Hutton Troutbeck of Petane and Moihi Runga of Tarawera and others of the Kuhawaea No 2 land block. Dated 1886.
On the other side of the page is a Māori translation.

(b) The second lease is between Hutton Troutbeck of Petane and
Meihana Te Hiakai and Hira Potakurua of Galatea. There is also a Māori translation.

(c) The third declaration is between Hutton Troutbeck of Petane and Peraniko Ngarimu of Galatea. There is also a Māori translation.
