Brief Description
Two manuscripts for the Mangatoro land block comprised of 30750 acres, the Mangatoro block is very close to Porangahau.

a. List of owners and their successors in the Mangatoro land block. The owners are: Nopera Kuikainga, Winiata Takataka, Apiata Kuikainga, Ihakara Whaitiri, Ereatara Te Kuru, Tapi Kuru & Rawinia, Tukeke Trustees; Aperahama Rautahi, Piripi Ngarangikataua, Te Ropiha, Haira Tamanoho, Henare Matua.

b. The first hearing for the Mangatoro block was held on 16 January 1867. Crown grant dated 22 June 1868 in favour of Ihakara Whaitiri, Karaitiana Takamoana, Piripi Ngarangikataua, Ereatara te Kuru, Aperahama te Rautahi, Ropiha te Takou, Haira Tamanoho, Apiata Kuikainga, Henare Matua, Hinata Hemoata. There are edited notes written alongside the entries which are dated 1891.
