Brief Description
The Studio Year Book of Decorative Art: A Review of the Latest Developments in the Artistic Construction Decoration and Furnishing of the House, 1913.


This magazine deals with the developments in architecture and decoration across four geographical areas: Great Britain; Germany; Austria; and Hungary. Listed in the contents section are the featured designers, in alphabetical order under each section heading.

The first section on Great Britain includes an introductory text on British Domestic Architecture and Decoration followed by illustrations organised by the branch of decorative and applied art: Domestic Architecture; Fireplaces, Stained Glass and Wall Decoration; Embroidery, Textile Fabrics, Metal-Work and Pottery. This section closes with an article by Hon. Thomas H Mawson, The Garden as a Means of Artistic Expression, with accompanying illustrations.

The second section on Germany includes an article by L Deubner on German Architecture and Decoration followed by illustrations. The third and fourth sections, by A S Levetus, concern Austrian and Hungarian Architecture and Decoration respectively. These sections also include illustrations.
