Brief Description
Two sets of speech notes by Leo Bestall

a) Typed set of notes relating to a studio forum dated 21 September 1949. The discussion outline lists the topics and discussion leaders and reads:

1. What is conscience? Leader: Mrs Albrecht.

2. What is the cause of the common prejudice against Americans? Leader: Mr Dockery.

3. Does the panel consider the great improvement in the standard of living in this country in the last forty years has made us happier or more contented? Leader: Mr Peel.

4. What qualities should a woman possess if she is to be called attractive? Leader: Mr Bestall.

There are typed notes pertaining to question 1 and handwritten notes by Bestall pertaining to question 2. Filed with these notes is a miscellaneous page of typed notes which appear to be from another panel discussion.

b) The second set of notes is handwritten by Bestall and is titled: The Place of the Museum in the Life of the Community. Appears to have been a radio broadcast because final page states: Broadcast. 11 March 1948.
