Brief Description
Programmes, Alhambra Theatre. Two programmes from the Alhambra Theatre, Leicester Square, London, collected by Leo Bestall. The title page of each has Alhambra above a view of a walled city at night which is framed by an ornate arch and two columns, below this is written Chairman of Directors Oswald Scott.
a) The larger programme is for Round the Map and is in colour.
b) The smaller programme is for The Bing Boys on Broadway and is printed in blue.
Both contain a significant amount of advertising, including full page Schweppes Dry Ginger Ale adverts on the back cover, both are not dated, and feature photographs of the cast. Were filed with other theatre programmes Bestall kept from World War I (WWI) period.
