Brief Description
Map of Palestine.
Front cover has been torn off.

Large map featuring the roads, railways, rivers, ruins, mountains and international boundaries of Palestine, from Rafa & Auja to the South and Wadi el Arabah, Bahr Lut - Dead Sea, el Ghor - River Jordan at the Western border and Ras el Nakura and Metull to the North. Noted that it is 1,029 miles to Malta.Two smaller maps showing a plan of Jerusalem, and the Egyptian frontier and peninsula.

The Southern border of Palestine extends to El Akabah to the South. An Arabic translation of terms is included: Ard - plain, Jebel - mountain, Wadi - watercourse and Kalat - castle.
Bestall has handwritten notes on the map and drawn a route from Sinai through Palestine and Jerusalem up to Lebanon and Syria. He has also marked Jerusalem, Haifa, and Nazareth with crosses.
