Object detail
Brief Description
Travel diary 1939, attributed to Mary Bestall. A travel diary dating from 23 February to 20 May, 1939.
The year has been written in pencil on page 1.
Due to the hand writing it is believed to be the diary of Mary Bestall. There are 2 different sizes of paper used. Two sections are written on paper too large for the folder and have been folded to fit. The places visited and museums mentioned seem to correlate with Leo Bestall's Notes on a Museum Tour of USA. His notes were not dated but on the basis of this diary are attributed to the year 1939.
