Journal by Leo Bestall entitled: Notes on a Museum Tour of America and dated 1939.
Journal featuring photographs, pencil and pen hand drawn diagrams. Gives general background about the Hawke's Bay Museum and Art Gallery and museums in general. Following the text are 15 pages of handwritten notes including recommended reading, and an address to the Art Society on the ship Rotorua which is a critique of the museums he visited. These notes cover the same material as the notes in the first part of the ringbinder in a more detailed manner.
