About this object
Several sketches depicting building parts of the Canterbury Cathedral. Parts of the building have been identified in writing.
In the top left corner is a capital carved with a man riding a horse. Signed L D B 9/2/15. In the bottom right corner is a lectern. Signed. L D B, 19/7/1915. Written in pencil below this is: Lectern in King's Sanitorium Chapel (H. Percy Adams) (Studio Vol 9). In the middle is a sketch of a corbel on a post. Written in pencil below this is: Corbels on post at junction of nave with south-west transept. To the right is a sketch of a choir screen. Written in pencil below this is: Notes from Anglican Church Rangiora 11/4/1915. At the bottom of the work is a sketch of a nave window. There is also a drawing of a font in the lower right corner. On the reverse are small sketches of architectural fittings, a dressing table and gates which have been identified in writing.
